Keep this stir fry sauce handy in your kitchen just like soy sauce, fish sauce, or vinegar for use in chopsuey, lumpiang prito, or pansit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light soy sauce
  • ½ cup mirin (Japanese cooking wine)
  • ½ cup (100 grams) sugar

Instructions

1

In a small sauce pan, mix all the ingredients inside, over a low fire and slowly bring to a simmer till the sugar is completely dissolved.

2

Cool, bottle and keep in refrigerator till ready to use.

Notes

This is good with Chop Suey, for Lumpiang Frito base, for Pancit Canton and Bihon; go for your imagination!
